The Wave at Emerald Glen Park

The Emerald Glen Aquatic Center in Dublin, California, is home to The Wave Natatorium indoor aquatic facility, featuring swimming classes, lap swimming, water walking, and water aerobics classes. A tensile canopy roof was added to maximize the number of days when members can use the Natatorium. To create a feeling of being outdoors in the shade, the canopy is supported at a significant height by a system of complex geometric, expanding structural steel trusses that arch from the ground into the air, fabricated and installed by Shawnee Steel & Welding.
