Freighthouse Flats

Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City’s Freighthouse Flats began as a three-story warehouse built in 1924. Located in what is now the vibrant Crossroads neighborhood, the building was converted in 2006 to a 22-unit condominium complex by award-winning architecture firm BNIM. Units are highly sought after because of the high ceilings, private balconies, and roof garden. Shawnee Steel & Welding fabricated the exterior balcony railings as well as interior and exterior stair railings, ensuring that the design and finish reflected the “historic modern” aesthetic of the building.
