9+CO – Block 7

Denver, Colorado

9+CO is a multi-use development that includes residential and commercial spaces. Built on the 26-acre site formerly occupied by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, 9+CO is designed to be a truly unique neighborhood center that integrates with the existing urban environment. 9+CO includes both new construction and adaptive reuse and features 1,100 residential units, over 40 shops and restaurants, 15,000 square feet of commercial space, and several parks and plazas.

As part of the developers’ creative vision, artist Daisy Patton was commissioned to create an original work of art for the Block 7 parking garage. Her painting Untitled (Picnic with Flowers) was then transformed into large tensile fabric panels. Shawnee Steel & Welding fabricated the structural steel frames for these cladding screens.
