Alamo Drafthouse
Washington, DC
When national theater chain Alamo Drafthouse opened its first theater in Washington, DC, the developers recognized a need to reinforce positive public sentiment around the brand. The exterior facades provided a key opportunity to convey one of Alamo Drafthouse’s most important brand values: every theater is local and has unique aspects. Shawnee Steel & Welding fabricated the structural steel outriggers that protrude through the underlying stucco and support the tensile fabric panels.
