Ho’ae’ae Station – Farrington Line – HART

Honolulu, Hawaii

The Farrington line includes three stations on the Honolulu Rail Transit light metro system: Hōʻaeʻae, Pouhala, and Hālaulani. Eight PTFE canopies were designed to represent the sails of Hōkūleʻa, the renowned replica of traditional Polynesian voyaging canoes and symbol of Hawaii.
The route consists of 32,000 square feet of tensile membrane canopies supported by structural steel framing and trusses fabricated by Shawnee Steel & Welding.
